Humour in the workplace

Humour is vital to a successful and healthy organisation but few of us recognise its value or power. In today’s tough economic climate, humour can help us face the daily challenges of work life and reduce our stress. Humour at work creates bonds, breaks down barriers and fosters good relationships with colleagues and clients.

What will participants learn?

  • What is so funny? What makes us laugh and why
  • Why laughter and fun is good for us; the physiology of laughing
  • Boredom at work and how humour can be the antidote
  • How to use humour to diffuse anger
  • The benefits of humour in the workplace
  • The dangers: when humour backfires
  • How to introduce humour and fun into your workplace.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for all leaders and managers and for those in non-managerial roles.
