Don’t die – diagnose!
What are the challenges of tomorrow your team needs to understand and prepare itself for today?
One thing is a certainty – change is a constant and the bar is being raised, in relation to the performance of teams and the individuals who contribute to that teams performance. The business environment is leaner and expectations are that teams and individuals achieve more with less resource in tighter timeframes.
This facilitated team day will give leaders and team members opportunity to review current team issues and what is affecting their performance. Delegates will have insight into what makes a high performing team, and how they can flex and adapt their skills, knowledge and attitudes. It allows for frank discussion to help a team look at what is really happening for them and how to start to make changes required to become more effective in meeting forthcoming challenges.
Key questions to consider around the team's performance:
- Has it recently gone through change or re-organisation?
- Is it affected by performance paralysis, ie, fear of what the future holds?
- Has it lost sight of how individuals’ strengths and differences can increase performance?
- Are members contributing equally?
- Do some members have difficulty flexing and adapting to different ways of working?
- Do negativity, fear or resistance get in the way?
- When you need volunteers or extra support, do team members take a step back?
- Do members take responsibility for their actions and do they hold each other accountable?
- How clear is it regarding its purpose, and goals and objectives?
Who should attend? Teams which:
- Have experienced rapid change
- Are struggling to adapt to new challenges
- Require flexibility and adaptability
- Believe they need facilitation to raise and address issues and current challenges
- Need to appreciate that it is the individuals within them that need to be accountable and responsible
- Would benefit from an objective assessment of their current reality
- Are stuck, and desperately want to move forward
- Have high pressure deadlines and need to plan a strategy for success.
