Our trainers:
Tony Newman - a consultant and project manager, Tony manages HQN’s specialist Rent Income Excellence Network (RIEN). Tony has delivered training and consultancy for HQN since 2005 and has carried out many 'mock' inspections and health checks in respect of income management. Tony has extensive experience in improvement planning in income management, in a local government, housing association and private sector context. He has practical experience of managing departments that have delivered improved performance and customer focus and has worked with some of the country’s top social housing performers. Tony recently developed HQN’s Income Management Toolkit and helped to develop the HQN Financial Inclusion Toolkit.
Anya Ahmed - has over 15 years experience working in the housing sector. She previously worked for both a local authority and housing association in management and policy roles. She has worked in Higher Education for the last 12 years teaching housing related issues across a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has managed a range of externally funded housing research projects. She has also spent extensive time in Europe researching housing consumption on the continent.
